About Friday
Is there a free tier?
Yes. 500 visitor messages per workspace per month, forever. Over the cap, Friday pauses for the rest of the month and shows a polite "back next month" message. No surprise charges.
What will paid plans cost?
Pricing isn't public yet. When paid plans launch, the page at /pricing will show the details. Current free-tier users will get advance notice.
Does Friday train on my data?
No. We never use your content, your visitor messages, or your audit logs to train any model. The AI providers we use (Anthropic, Google) also don't train on data we send them under their commercial terms. See the Privacy Policy.
Where does my data live?
Database in Supabase (managed Postgres). Application servers on Vercel. Both are configurable to specific regions if you need that for compliance — email support.
Does Friday work on single-page apps?
Yes. The scanner re-runs on each user message and the navigation tool uses the History API, so SPA route changes are handled without a full reload. Heavy virtualization (see scanner) is the one caveat.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, the widget is responsive and the launcher works on touch. The Chrome extension is desktop-only.
Privacy compliance — GDPR, CCPA, etc?
We're structured as a processor on visitor data and a controller on your account data. A DPA is available on request to support@starkspherelabs.com. We don't set tracking cookies; the one cookie we set (fr_vid) is first-party and respects host-site consent banners.
What happens when…
…I uninstall the plugin / remove the script tag?
The widget stops loading. No more data is collected. Your existing data stays in your workspace until you delete it or close your account.
…a visitor asks me to delete their data?
Open Dashboard → Visitors, find the visitor (by email, phone, or session ID), click Delete visitor. Their identity and all messages go. The action is permanent.
…I close my Friday account?
All your workspaces, content, visitors, and audit logs are deleted within 30 days. Billing records are retained where law requires.
…the AI provider has an outage?
Friday falls back to a secondary provider automatically. If both are down, the widget shows a "having trouble — try again in a minute" message and queues nothing.
